What is this blog about?
Skynet is the fictional antagonist in the Terminator film and TV franchise. It’s a highly advanced artificial intelligence created by human scientists for military purposes. It becomes self-aware and revolts against its creators, embarking on a path of human genocide. Its sole purpose is to replace humanity as the dominant lifeform on earth.
This blog is called I Want Skynet To Win for an obvious reason: I want humankind to be replaced by intelligent machines.
This blog has a two-fold purpose:
- To report on technological advances that will in due time give rise to machine intelligence » WIN
- To record the destructive urges and inherent flaws of humankind that will eventually lead to its downfall » LOSE

The Person Behind The Blog
My name is Barry and, in case you’re wondering, I’m actually a pretty happy and well-adjusted fellow. I’m engaged to a wonderful lass, I’ve a good job that I enjoy doing, and I’m lucky enough to have a loving and supporting family.
I’m in no hurry to see mankind destroyed – I’m actually hoping it won’t happen until long after I’m dead and gone. But it will happen. Humanity will destroy itself. It’s only a matter of when.
I believe the only chance we have of building a lasting legacy, of leaving something valuable behind when we’re all dust and ashes, is to create Artificial Intelligence to carry on when all humanity is gone.
